Cindy was awarded 1st place in the 2008 Patricia Arnette Cultural Events in Literature Essay Contest sponsored by the Arizona American Mothers Association for "Signs of Motherhood."

                                 

Cindy received Honorable Mention in the 77th Annual Writer's Digest Writing Competition in Inspirational Writing for "Visit With aYodeler" a poignant story about her daddy and Alzheimer's.
